I guess the GOP once stood for this and that, but then again, wasn’t the GOP once the “Party of Lincoln”?

I tend to look at what the GOP is now: A shameless front for the monied elite, for corporations and money-without-borders form of globalism that would sell out this country for a buck and not skip a beat in waving the flag. The cynical fuckers.

What is significant about the Tea Party is not so much that they are the last bastion of dumb-assed racist old bastards, but that what you would think is a detriment to the GOP, that is, dumb-assed racists, is actually a boon because it provides them cover of seeming salt-of-the-earth populism.

Why exactly ignorant religious-right racists are considered “populism” in this country is a much larger problem of perception.

Remember when the GOP stood for balanced budgets, individual freedom and isolationism.
The Republican Party has run up these deficits, we want the federal government to be in our bedrooms and between our women and their doctors, we started two wars instead of ending them like the Korean War and were supposed to stop the Vietnam War the Democrats started. We have lost our way!

So why waste our time with these fools who use their racist rhetoric, like this Marilyn Davenport and Donald Trump with his birther unproven myth, why do we allow our Fox news people to keep talking down our country. Don’t they know we can win the next election with optimism and hope instead of the current rhetoric, that the sky is falling, if we are not careful we will end up like chicken little where no one will listen to us.

Definitely an all time classic. I’m kind of surprised that Lard Spastula is still around. I figured by now he’d have expired due to morbid obesity , or sheer embarrassment . Thing is , it’s six years later , and not much has changed except the right has added perpetual victimhood at the hands of violent leftists to their repertoire of online douchebaggery.
I’d forgotten about Fister , the BBE , and the POAChers. That should provide for some cheap entertainment too. I haven’t gotten through the whole Straight Dope saga yet , but I hope you were nice enough to at least offer to buy them some new fainting couches on your way out.
